CWBA Meeting

This is just a reminder that the upcoming meeting of the Central Washington Beekeepers’ Association will take place on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Yakima Area Arboretum (1401 Arboretum Drive, Yakima, WA).
Topics to be presented include the importance of feeding honey bees in February and into Springtime, mite treatment options for Springtime and equipment preparation for Spring!
You can also sign up to order nucs at this meeting. Nucs will be available in mid-April from DoubleRHoney.
In addition you can sign up for the Beekeeper 101 Class which is being coordinated by Dr. Katie Buckley, entomologist. Topics to be covered include: starting out as a beekeeper, colony management by season, integrated pest management and products of the hive. This class will be taught by experienced beekeepers and provides useful information for everyone. The cost is $ 15.00 for Central Washington Beekeeper Association members and $20.00 for non members. The class will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the Yakima Area Arboretum from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please bring a pen and notebook or a computer and your lunch and water.
