CWBA is pleased to offer a youth scholarship program for students who are interested in beekeeping and exhibit the ability to participate fully in the association for one year. Eligible applicants should submit a completed application no later than December 1 of the year prior to the scholarship award. The application will include an essay on the student’s interest in beekeeping and an understand of the importance of honey bees to the environment.
Eligibility criteria include:
1. The applicant must be between the ages of 12 and 17 by December 1 of the current year.
2. The applicant must be a resident of Yakima County.
3. The applicant must be currently enrolled in a public, private, or home school.
4. The applicant must have written permission and agreement from parent or guardian.
