CWBA is pleased to offer a youth scholarship program for students who are interested in beekeeping and exhibit the ability to participate fully in the association for one year. Eligible applicants should submit a completed application no later than December 1 of the year prior to the scholarship award. The application will include an essay on the student’s interest in beekeeping and his/her understanding of the importance of honey bees to the environment.
Eligibility criteria include:
1. The applicant must be between the ages of 12 and 17 by December 1 of the current year.
2. The applicant must be a resident of Yakima County.
3. The applicant must be currently enrolled in a public, private, or home school.
4. The applicant must have written permission and agreement from parent or guardian.
