Beekeeping 101 Class

$15.00 – $20.00The Central Washington Beekeepers’ Association is sponsoring a Beekeeping 101 Class on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Yakima Area Arboretum, 1401 Arboretum Drive, Yakima, WA. The class will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. People interested in beekeeping and those who are already beekeepers are invited to attend the class. Registration costs $15.00 for Central Washington Beekeepers’ Association members and $20.00 for non-members. Cash payment will be accepted during registration on March 1st. Please arrive early in order to register and pay for the class.
The class will be led by Dr. Katie Buckley, entomologist, and other veteran beekeepers. The class will cover: starting out with honeybees, beekeeping equipment, bee colony management for each season, pest management and products of the hive.
Participants are asked to bring a laptop or a notebook and pen, snacks and lunch.
