Beekeeping 101 Class

Cost: $20.00 for non members  $15.00 for CWBA members  Register the day of the class at the Arboretum.

Topics covered include the following: Starting out with honey bees, beekeeping equipment, what to do with the hive during each season of the year, how to control pests such as mites, yellow jackets and robber bees, and products of the hive.

Bring lunch and a notebook to take notes. Dr. Katie Buckley, our education director and entomologist, will conduct the class. Experienced beekeepers will be making the above presentations.  Coffee, tea and water will be provided.
